Alumnae Art Exhibit

Friday night after the Class Dinner we were invited to Dietl Library for an Alumnae Art Exhibit. I have posted my work (small format quilting) as well as some of my favorites.

Girl Power #3 made me laugh out loud. I unfortuately forgot to document who made it. I talked to the artist and she is Dutch and I think from the class of 1972. It is a composition of female "action" figures trying to save the planet Earth by using their super powers!

My other favorites take the traditional needle art of cross stitch to portray non-traditional images by Alice Tavener, class of 2002. I love the whimsy and element of surprise these give to the person looking at them.
